A true story drama about a father who is suspected of killing his eldest teenage daughter. Tom and Carol Acton (Tony Danza and Pamela Reed) are distraught when their daughter goes missing, last seen with a truck driver. However, when they refuse to identify a mutilated corpse, the investigating Detective (Ving Rhames) becomes suspicious of Tom. This leads to the two youngest children being taken into care and Carol having to face up to the truth about her husband.
