A comedy based around a surgeon who develops a blood phobia and finds himself in a Cornish village where he becomes the local GP. His direct manner leads to many upsets in the village. In series two the GP’s developing romance with the schoolteacher is put on hold when her ex-boyfriend arrives in the village.
