A well made drama with sympathetic characters and an involving storyline, showing how misunderstandings can lead to conflict bitterness and division within family life.Drew Barrymore steals the show as the troubled young girl caught between a mum seperated from her partner and a doting grandfather who tells tales to win the young girl over. Its good to watch on a lazy afternoon but the drama is slight compared to events in Barrymores own personal life at the time and its hard to imagine the young actress here as a wild child dabbling in drugs and living the high life.
