American drama in which ex-prisoner Mohamed Lundy (Boyd Holbrook) finds difficulty in adjusting to life as a free man, until he has an unexpected encounter with Doris Lamb (Elisabeth Moss) and his quiet life of isolation is turned around. Doris stumbles into the dog rescue centre where Mohamed works after seemingly having been attacked. The strange experience brings the two together and they quickly become fond of each other, before realising that Doris is now being hunted by the police for the alleged murder of her husband. Perplexed by the situation but having full faith in Doris that she is a victim of abuse and acted in self-defence, the two embark on a journey to escape the grasp of the authorities while Mohamed risks his freedom to protect her.
