In A Class Of His Own

For ten years high school janitor Rich Donato (Lou Diamond Phillips) has worked at Callahan High School. Many students see him as some sort of guidance counsellor as his office door is always open to anyone who needs to talk. He always encourages the students to strive for the best and emphasises the need for a good education – despite the fact that school was never his strength.Though it wasnt talked about when he was at school, Rich suffered from attention deficit disorder and a mild form of dyslexia which meant he never received his high school diploma. Richs wife Shari discovers she is pregnant and is about to tell him when he drops a bombshell – the school board has discovered he doesnt have his diploma, a mandatory requirement for all public school employees. In order to keep his job Rich must go back to school… but who can he turn to to help him through this crisis…
