Countryfile: Adam’s Farm

Every week viewers of BBC One s Countryfile get to share the highs and lows of the farming calendar with Cotswold farmer, Adam Henson. In this Countryfile special Matt Baker and Julia Bradbury meet up with Adam to take a look back at the year and catch up with life on the farm. The DVD includes 15 minutes of bonus footage. Adam has added another rare breed to his collection, hardy White-Faced Dartmoor sheep. Along with Adam s other rare breed and commercial sheep they ve had a bumper time lambing this Spring, so Matt s hard at work in the sheering shed. Julia helps Adam get his cattle out to pasture, after one of the harshest winters in thirty years. But it isn t only the weather Adam s had to worry about. Last year his cattle tested positive for bovine tuberculosis which left him facing some difficult decisions.
