Gary and Martin Kemp turn their attentions to Birmingham. Gangs in the early 20th century turned Britain s racetracks into battlegrounds A Birmingham gang called the Brummagems were the top dogs and built up a criminal network extending far beyond their city. They made fortunes from racetrack extortion and beat their rivals mercilessly to protect their territory. The same city and over 80 years later in 2003 another, seemingly random drive by shooting, kills innocent bystanders and shocks the nation. The brothers investigate the gangs of Britain s second city, Birmingham, old and new, and see how gang crime has evolved.
