Glasgow Rangers 2008/2009 Season Review

Season 2008/09 was a double-winning campaign no Rangers fan will ever forget. Walter Smith s side showed great character and determination to overcome a seven point SPL deficit to secure their 52nd Scottish League Championship and 33rd Scottish Cup final victory in style. Eight fantastic wins in their last nine SPL fixtures saw Rangers surge to the top of the table and the return of the SPL trophy to Ibrox. There were plenty of highs along the way – including the Club s biggest derby win at Parkhead in more than 14 years as they crushed rivals Celtic 4-2 in August.
