Ice Road Truckers is a reality television series following truckers as they haul vital supplies over dangerous ice roads to remote communities and work sites in Canada and Alaska. Season 5 of Ice Road Truckers splits its focus between two locations:
Alaska (Dalton Highway): Features truckers like Lisa Kelly, Dave Redmon, and Maya Sieber hauling freight between Fairbanks and Deadhorse, with occasional trips to Anchorage and Nuiqsut. Redmon is a new driver this season, while Sieber is a rookie making her first trips on the ice. Tony Molesky, a veteran driver, serves as a trainer for the rookie drivers, notably Redmon and Sieber. Kelly and Molesky also embark on a heavy haul from Anchorage in episodes 6 and 7.
Canada (Manitoba and Ontario Ice Roads): Features returning drivers Alex Debogorski and Hugh Rowland, along with Rick Yemm (who returns after appearances in seasons 1 and 2). They haul freight to isolated communities like Oxford House, Red Sucker Lake, and St. Theresa Point that rely on the ice roads for supplies.
