Three more instalments of the crime series written and produced by Lynda La Plante. In ‘Paradise Lost’, a young schoolteacher is raped and murdered, and the police suspect her black boyfriend. When he’s proved to be innocent, however, Chief Superintendent Walker (David Hayman) and DCI Connor (Victoria Smurfit) are forced to ask for help from a suspicious local community. In ‘Curriculum Vitae’ the team are called in when a working mother returns home and finds her baby dead and the nanny missing. What seems to be a cut and dried case, however, soon changes as the team dig a little further. In ‘Mirror Image’, the murder of a Metropolitan Police Commander and his wife puts pressure on the team to come up with a fast result. Although at first it appears to have been a botched robbery, the police soon take an interest in family members, particularly when it becomes clear that they will profit from the deaths.
