However with Bryan and Elgin tasked to commission an artist, things dont quite go to plan. If that isnt enough, the city spiv turned farm owner faces an unwelcome trip to see his mother-in-law, as well as desperately trying to a find his missing dog before he has to give someone else the reward.
Meanwhile, Elgin, Bryan, Jed and Mrs Cakeworthy are just about managing to keep the farm going, despite sometimes seeming a few bales short of a haystack. And the whole farm is excited when they welcome a rich American businessman revisiting the haunts of his military posting in the 1970s. He is clearly still a real ladies man but rumour has it he might also be closely related to someone in the village
