Killer Whales: Wolves of the Sea

Narrated by David Attenborough, this programme looks at the remarkable lives of these fearsome predators sometimes described as the ‘wolves of the sea’. Often hunting in packs, they work together to hunt their prey. In the film we see them round up schools of herring which they stun with flicks of their pwerful tails. Often they ‘play with their food’ – tossing their prey around in a frenzied game that hones their hunting skills. They’ll also hurl themselves onto the beach in order to snatch their prey.
