Caroline Duffy has her professional life just the way she wants it. The comic strip she lovingly created, ‘Caroline in the City’. Has turned into the merchandising gold with an array of greeting cards, books and colourful calendars. However, Caorline’s personal life is not quite as golden, but at least it serves as an endless source of material for her comic strip. In the first series, Caroline breaks up with, and then makes up with, her commitment-shy boyfriend Del Cassidy, hires a brand new assistant, a manic depressive would-be artise called Richard Karinsky, has a park named in her honour and stars in the latest hit movie from Joh Landis, all the while aided and abetted by her best friend Annie, a Broadway dancer on the neverending seach for love, or jsut a bit of fun, whichever comes first.
