Triple-bill of cult horror films. ‘Dementia 13’ (1963) is one of the first films directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Set in a gloomy Irish castle, it follows the hysterical Lady Haloran (Ethne Dunn), grief-stricken after the death of her daughter seven years before, who becomes aware of a mysterious axe-weilding stranger patrolling the grounds of her castle. ‘Shock!’ (1946) sees Vincent Price give another sinister performance as Dr Cross, a murdering psychiatrist who kills his wife and insinuates his way into the life of the family next door. ‘Black Dragons’ (1942) is a wartime thriller, where six seemingly disparate men conspire to disrupt the American war effort. The only link between them is their alliegance to Bela Lugosi’s sinister plastic surgeon.
