Laurel & Hardy Volume 10 – Snow!/Classic Shorts

Another collection of shorts from Laurel and Hardy – this time with snow as the theme. ‘The Fixer-Uppers’ sees Stan and Ollie working as greeting card salesmen and helping a woman whose husband has been neglecting her. Ollie pretends to be the woman’s lover to incite her husband into jealousy – and is challenged to a fight! In ‘Laughing Gravy’ Stan and Ollie get a small dog – knowing they are breaking the rules of their agreement with their landlord. They soon have to survive the cold when their canine friend is discovered and made homeless. Both the original two reel version and extended material with a rediscovered third reel are included. Also included are: ‘Les Carottiers’, a French-language edition combining the storylines of ‘Laughing Gravy’ and ‘Be Big’; and ‘Slipping Wives’, an early appearance which inspired ‘The Fixer-Uppers’.
