Geronimo: An American Legend

Walter Hill’s revisionist western tells the story of the native American chief Geronimo (Wes Studi) after his homeland is overrun by the migrant whites. Betrayed by General George Crook (Gene Hackman), Geronimo gathers a small group of fellow warriors and together they leave their reservation and head out on a war party. The army soon hears of the problem and sends a group of soldiers, lead by Lieutenant Charles Gatewood (Jason Patric), to recapture the renegade Chief. But Geronimo has surrendered and made bargains with the white man once before, and it is unlikely that he will fall for their tricks a second time.
