Documentary about how music therapy is being used to aid people with Alzheimer’s disease. The film follows the pioneering work of social worker Dan Cohen and his charitable organisation Music & Memory which advocates the use of music to treat those suffering from memory loss. Director Michael Rossato-Bennett follows Cohen as he visits nursing homes and, with the help of iPods, demonstrates how music can help restore residents’ memories and their deeper sense of self.
