Mark Ruffalo stars in this romantic comedy as Alex, a young painter who suddenly finds his life taking a turn for the worse when he fails to land an exhibition show. Kicked out by his girlfriend, he finds himself living in a low-rent apartment block surrounded by eccentric neighbours, and starts a relationship with the girl who lives across the hall (Beth Ulrich). But Alex soon discovers that dating your neighbour can be a drawback when you want to split up with them.
