Cristobal Colon persuades the Spanish monarchy (after a few disagreements) to fund his trip in search of fortune and a sea route to India. The voyage, however, is full of dramas. A saboteur is on board, the crew lose faith in the captain and he loses faith in himself. Starring Tom Selleck, Marlon Brando and Rachel Ward, this was one of the films made to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Colombus’ arrival in America.
