Robin Williams stars in this sci-fi comedy drama by director Chris Columbus. In the year 2005, Richard Martin (Sam Neill) purchases a domestic android, NDR 114 (Williams) – nicknamed ‘Andrew’ – to act as a household servant to his family. Although a robot, Andrew possesses an individual personality and gradually begins to exhibit signs of ‘humanity’.
