Based on the true story of Gertrude ‘Trudy’ Lintz (Rene Russo), an eccentric socialite who, with her husband Bill (Robbie Coltrane) and assistant Dick (Alan Cumming), delights in sharing her home with a bunch of apes and monkeys. Trudy’s favourite is Buddy, a cheeky gorilla who gets himself into all sorts of scrapes.
