BBC nature documentary directed by Andy Byatt and Alastair Fothergill, originally produced as part of the Blue Planet series. An ambitious exploration of the world’s oceans, from the shallowest coral reefs to the barren shores of the Antarctic, the film features footage of all kinds of weird and wonderful sea creatures – some of which are captured on film for the first time ever. The film is narrated by actor Michael Gambon, and accompanied by a score written by composer George Fenton and played by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
