What a feeling! A double bill of 1980s dance-flicks. In ‘Footloose’ Ren McCormick (Kevin Bacon) is a city kid who moves to a Bible Belt town where dancing is banned by the local hell-fire preacher. Ren defiantly hoofs away in a series of spectacular sequences. The title song was nominated for an Oscar and the film also features the track ‘Let’s Hear It For the Boy’. Whilst in ‘Flashdance’ Alex Owens (Jennifer Beals) is an 18-year-old welder from Pittsburgh whose one ambition is to become a professional ballerina at the Conservatory of Dance. In the meantime, Alex is forced to work as a cabaret artist in the evenings, struggling against the odds to achieve her dream.
