Sonny (Elias Koteas) has decided to take stock of his life. He has been working for eight years as a bellhop at the Stillwell Hotel, earning money so that he might care for his disabled brother, and he now feels that it is time for a change. One night, Sonny delivers room service to Monique (Laure Marsac), a beautiful femme fatale, and soon finds himself caught up in a web of intrigue. If he plays his cards right he will end up a very rich man, if not he might find himself trapped forever working in hotel management.
