Four volume set of vintage comedy from Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, comprising two feature-length films and a plethora of classic shorts. In ‘Our Relations’ (1936), Stan and Ollies’ long-lost twin brothers Alf and Bert return from sea. The rogueish sailors take two girls to a restaurant, leaving a pearl ring as security for the bill. Stan and Ollie are, of course, mistaken for their brothers, causing their wives to ask what they’re doing wining and dining other women, and an angry sailor to wonder why they’ve got his ring. In ‘Sons of the Desert’ (1933), in order for Stan and Ollie to travel to a fraternity convention in Chicago, which their wives have no interest in attending, Ollie feigns a disease which can only be cured by a long sea voyage. However, the ship on which they are supposed to be travelling to Honolulu sinks at sea – so while Stan and Ollie are living it up in Chicago, their spouses think they are dead!Synopsis
