Feature version of the Japanese anime series. Following the defeat of their army in the ‘One Year War’, some survivors from the Duchy of Zeon continue to offer resistance in the background. They prepare to begin Operation Stardust in secret led by a zealous Admiral and an organised guerrilla force. Whilst Earth tries to heal the physical and diplomatic damage inflicted during the war, Operation Stardust create further damage. Kou Uraki is a young test pilot for the Federation Forces that has never fought in a battle before but he quickly comes to understand the horrors of war when Zeon’s forces, led by Anavel Gato, attack the Torrington base. This signals the beginning of a pursuit through the galaxy, where the enemy will cover their intentions and strike suddenly.
