Four episodes of the 1950s series about the great detective, played by Ronald Howard, and ably assisted by Dr Watson (Howard Marion-Crawford). In ‘The Case of the Night Train Riddle’, Holmes investigates an attempted murder at a circus, and the disappearance of the young heir to the Winmaster fortune from a night train. In ‘The Case of Lady Beryl’, Holmes must uncover why a prominent society lady has confessed to a murder she could not possibly have committed. In ‘The Mother Hubbard Case’, Holmes investigates after a number of gentlemen go missing, only to turn up in unoccupied houses having been poisoned. Finally, in ‘The Case of the Gravestone Inscription’, Holmes and Watson investigate the disappearance of a man who may have discovered the missing treasure of Richard II.
