Three of John Wayne’s early westerns from the 1930s. ‘Paradise Canyon’ (1935) is a light-hearted western, where Wayne stars as an government agent trying to track down a gang of counterfeiters. ‘The Dawn Rider’ (1935) is a classic revenger’s tragedy, as Wayne tracks down the thief who murdered his father, only to discover that the killer is the brother of the woman he loves. ‘The Desert Trail’ (1935) sees Wayne trying to clear his name after being accused of a brutal murder.
