When eight-year-old Charlie Holton discovers a baby reindeer all alone in the woods, he immediately assumes it is Prancer, one of Santa’s famous sleigh-pulling team. Taking the reindeer home with him, Charlie does his best to care for it in the months leading up to Christmas; he even writes to Santa, reminding him to collect Prancer on Christmas Eve.
