Three fishing programmes hosted by Matt Hayes and Mick Brown. In ‘Mirror Carp, Barbel and Pike’ Matt and Mick fish for mirror carp on Monument Lake in Shifnal, landing a whopping 44lb 2oz specimen. They also go barbel fishing on the Radwell and Sharbrook stretch of the River Ouse in Buckinghamshire where Mick manages to break his own personal barbel record with an impressive 11lb 1oz catch. Then the boys take a boat out onto the Llandegfedd Reservoir in Wales to fish for pike. In ‘Common Carp, Chub and Rainbow Trout’ Matt and Mick go carp fishing in Acton Burnell near Shropshire, where they catch a common carp weighing 20lb. Next it’s on to the Throop Fishery in Dorset and after a disappointing start the boys each get a personal best, Matt bagging a barbel and Mick a chub. At Avington Trout Fishery they use a selection of different flies and are rewarded by catching numerous big trout, but did they get the rainbow they were after? Finally in ‘Roach, Perch and Zander’ Matt and Mick go coarse fishing for bream and roach at Llandegfedd Reservoir in Wales. It’s Matt’s personal best hybrid that steals the day. It’s then onto the Thames near Henley where they catch perch. Finally they move on to Grafham Reservoir where they fish day and night and, although unsuccessful with their intended zander, Matt picks up a 2lb perch.
