Sean Bean stars as the brave soldier Sharpe in two feature length television movies set during the Napoleonic Wars. In ‘Sharpe’s Regiment’ a recruiting mission turns dangerous when Sharpe discovers evidence of sleaze and corruption at the highest levels of the army and becomes the target of an assassination attempt. The good soldier must now race against time in order to prove his theories. In ‘Sharpe’s Siege’ Sharpe marries his sweetheart Jane, but immediately has to leave for a daring mission in the Pyrenees. While he is away, his new wife contracts a deadly disease which has swept through the the British camp, but Sharpe realises that he must stay and defeat the French (and his arch-rival Ducos) even though he knows that he may never see his beloved again.
