A young couple move from the city to the small town of Mountview, to get away from their chaotic lifestyle. Unknown to them life in Mountview is about to get far worse for them. A local girl was attacked and killed while swimming in the local lake by a strange form of insect larva which has now begun a killing spree. Soon the whole of Mountview is overrun with the killer insects and it is up to a Dr Fujimoto to trace the insects to their source in order to save the town from total extinction.
