The first two episodes of the popular crime series. ‘The Dead of Jericho’ sees Chief Inspector Morse (John Thaw) investigating the apparent suicide of a woman he was romantically interested in. When it transpires that the woman was pregnant, Morse suspects her former employer. ‘The Silent World of Nicholas Quinn’ sees Morse (Thaw) and Lewis (Kevin Whately) called in to investigate the murder of a deaf academic, which has been made to seem like suicide. They discover a plot to sell examination papers abroad, but soon have another mystery to unravel.
