In the early 1960s American cool was defined by the Rat Pack, a group of hard-drinking, womanising crooners and clowns who lived in orbit around Frank Sinatra. ‘The Ocean’s Eleven Story’ looks at how Frank, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jnr, Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop divided their time between performing their Vegas revue show by night and making their heist-caper movie ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ during the day. Using rare footage of the boys in performance at The Sands and interviews with such contemporaries as Angie Dickinson, the documentary fully evokes the period when Frank’s gang bestrode the planet like entertainment Gods.
