The Road To Wellville is an outrageous comedy of sexual repression and healthful obsession, a story of lust, greed and the battle of the alimentary canal. Alan Parker’s film is set in 1907 in Battle Creek, Michigan. It follows the exploits and endeavours of patients, cranks and guinea pigs at the world famous Battle creek Sanitarium; grand hotel, health spa and citadel to healthy living, run by the eccentric Dr. Kellogg- health guru and inventor of the cornflake.
