Complete first series of the clerical comedy starring Dawn French as Dibley’s unorthodox new vicar. In ‘Arrival’ the villagers finally get the vicar they’ve been waiting for, but she’s nothing like they expected. ‘Songs of Praise’ has the BBC come to Dibley to make a film about the new vicar. ‘Community Spirit’ sees Alice get an idea for the Autumn Fayre. ‘The Window and the Weather’ finds the fine folk of Dibley thinking up ways to replace a broken stained glass window. ‘Election’ has the vicar create problems for David in the local elections. And ‘Animals’ sees a service arranged in honour of the village’s non-human residents. Also included is a special episode, ‘The Christmas Lunch Incident’ (1996), in which the vicar receives more lunch invitations that she can cope with.
