Psychological thriller starring Colin Firth as Ben, a man who wakes from a coma to discover that his wife Elisa (Naomie Harris) has been killed in a car accident. When he comes out of hospital a few weeks later he tries to rebuild his life, reuniting with old friend Tommy (Tommy Flanagan) and making friends with his pretty young neighbour Charlotte (Mena Suvari), who takes him to visit a psychic (Brenda Fricker) in order to help him get over his grief and pain. But Ben is continually haunted by images from the past, and as his paranoia builds, his grip on reality becomes increasingly tenuous.
