Beyond the Call

Made-for-TV movie about a woman who finds that her childhood sweetheart is on death row for murdering a policeman. Happily married mother-of-two Pam O’Brien (Sissy Spacek)’s life turns upside down when she finds that her first love Russell Cates (David Strathairn) is facing a death sentence for killing a police officer. Unable to believe that Russell could commit such a crime, she contacts him and becomes obsessed with proving his innocence. Her marriage and her family face unbearable strain as she is torn between Russell and her husband Keith (Arliss Howard).
