Castles of Scotland

Each of the six episodes, except the first, lasts twenty-five minutes and concentrates on two castles. Thus episode two features tours of the photogenic Eilean Donan Castle in the Highlands and the impressive Edinburgh Castle; the third looks at Castle Levan, a modern and largely tasteful rebuilding on the Clyde, and Glamis Castle in Angus; the fourth contrasts the eighteenth-century Fort George at Inverness with the multi-period mass at Caerlaverock in the Borders; the penultimate episode reviews two Aberdeenshire examples, Fyvie and Fraser; whilst the last focuses on eighteenth-century countryhouse-castle Culzean on the Ayrshire coast and nineteenth-century Kinloch on the isle of Rum.
