Homeworld 2 is the massive sequel to 1999’s Game of the Year. Years after the Hiigarans reclaimed their Homeworld, there is still no peace. Now a new war, a prophecy and a deadly new enemy threaten to make the recent journey home all for nothing. In Homeworld, you helped them reclaim their home. Now, help them reclaim their destiny.
Homeworld 2 continues the epic struggle of the Hiigarans and their leader Karan S’jet. Many thought their hardships would end when they returned to Hiigara, but fate would not be so kind to the Exiles. From the Inner Rim, the Hiigarans face a new and bitter enemy wielding the power of the ancients. Homeworld 2 focuses on the valiant journey of the Mothership and its crew. This journey takes the Hiigarans into the oldest regions of the galaxy to confront their new foe and learn the truth behind their exile.
In addition to the engrossing single-player experience, Homeworld 2 allows competition with five other players via a LAN or over the Internet. Homeworld 2 also will support mod groups by making the tools to create your own content available. Developed with the RTS community in mind, the game technology includes robust support for mods and high levels of customisation.
