The Crossing

An early outing for Russell Crowe in this love-triangle drama. Meg (Danielle Spencer) decides not to follow her boyfriend, Sam, to the big city in order to save their relationship. Instead she stays in their hometown and begins an affair with Sam’s best friend, Johnny (Crowe). When Sam returns to town for Anzac Day he tries to win Meg back. But Meg is now undecided about both men and is tempted by her friend Peg’s offer to go to the city together. Matters come to a head that evening as the two men seem to have become enemies and the townsfolk try to stir things up even more.
