The Tower People of Shetland & the Abandoned Marsh

BBC series in which Professor Aubrey Manning travels round the British Isles studying the archaeology, geology, and natural history of the landscape, revealing why the land has come to look the way it does. ‘The Tower People of Shetland’ sees Aubrey travel to Shetland, the most northerly territory in the British Isles, in a search for clues to the identity of the ancient people who once lived in the mysterious Broch Towers. In ‘The Abandoned Marsh’, Aubrey visits Romney Marsh and tries to find out why an area that was once a thriving community, became deserted by its inhabitants.
